Euonymus L. (ニシキギ)
Tsuribana (ツリバナ, 吊花), Korean spindle tree
Lifeform: deciduous shrub or short-tree, with 3-6 m in height
Distribution: China - Korea - Japan
Habitat: understory of deciduous forests
Number of petals: five → E. macropterus = four
Seed dispersal: endo-zoochore (animal)
Use: often transplanted for gardening and hedge
Synonyms:

Euonymus oxyphyllus Miq. f. microcarpus (Hayashi) Hayashi

var. magnus Honda (エゾツリバナ): larger oval-leaves and fruits, Japan Sea side
