The driver mechanisms forming pollination network structure

Plant-pollinator interaction forms pollination network structure, which is an important component of ecosystem. Pollination network structure is composed of many mutualistic plant-pollinator interactions. Most of the plant-pollinator interaction has been studied in the light of pollinator’s preference or learning abilities, such as color preference or memory of reward-rich flowers. In this viewpoint, pollinators have the initiative to choose flower species. However, In the actual natural environment, floral environment is not always the same, and differ between seasons, years, sites. Also, pollinator community structure differs between seasons, years, sites. These spacio- temporal difference may force pollinators to choose between restricted flower species. In my study, I focus on the floral phenology structure and pollinator’s ecological conditions as the driver mechanisms that form plant- pollinator network structure. In the seminar, I present the research plan for this study. I appreciate your constructive advice and opinions.
