Distribution in Japan: northern Japan
Habitat: Sphagnum bog (heath)

northeastern North America (synonym A. glaucophylla (Link) DC.

This genus has one species (if A. glaucophylla is not adopoted)

Varieties:
- var. polifolia: northern Europe and Asia, northwestern North America
- var. glaucophylla: northeastern North America (syn. A. glaucophylla)
