The roadside is totally covered with yellow flowers. This exotic species for New Zealand inhabits various areas in New Zealand now. New Zealand has ca 2300 native vascular plant species, while 1500-2000 species are exotic. Biological invasion is serious problems on insular countries, including Japan. On Janurary 4, 1997, when we went on the way Mount Tarawera in North Island, New Zealand.
