Chisimahimedokusa (チシマヒメドクサ, 千島姫木賊)

Lifeform: evergreen perennial horsetail < 40 (80) cm in height
Morophology: highly variable (often misidentified)

- subsp. variegatum
- subsp. alaskanum (A. A. Eaton) Hulten

Habitats: wetlands, including river banks and lake shores, and wet subalpinezone
Distribution: Hokkaido (widespread in the Northern Hemisphere)
