Distribution: Western Japan (not distributed in Hokkaido)
Seed dispersal: endo-zoochore (animal)
Often transplanted for gardening

Fatsia Decne. & Planch.

Three species in the world. Two speices in (southern) Japan and one species in Taiwan.
F. japonica (Thunb.) Decne. et Planch. (ヤツデ)

- var. liukiuensis Hatusima (リュウキュウヤツデ)

F. oligocasrpella (Nakai) Koidz. (ムニンヤツデ): ditributed in Bonin Islands
