Seiyou-otogirisou (セイヨウオトギリソウ, 西洋弟切草)

Lifeform: deciduous perennial forb < 100 cm high
Distribution: native to Europe, western Asia, and North Africa (exotic to Japan)
Habitat: pastures, meadows, and rangelands in the native regions
Leaf: many translucent dots on the leaves

Varieties (not adopted recently)

subsp. chinense N.Robson (コゴメバオトギリ)
subsp. perforatum (セイヨウオトギリ)
