Tarumaesou (タルマエソウ, 樽前草): The origin of name comes from Mount Tarumae where this species was firstly recorded.

Lifeform: clonal, deciduous forb
Distribution: Japan (Tohoku-Hokkaido districts)
Habitat: subalpine-alpine
Common on volcanoes (火山) in northern Japan
Forma: - f. albiflorus Hayashi (Shirobanaiwabukuro, シロバナイワブクロ)
