Lifeform: weedy, perennial forb
Distribution: Native to Europe and northern and central Asia (exotic to Japan)
Habitat: ruderal, mostly on roadsides, widespread in Sapporo

Varieties

- subsp. major
- subsp. intermedia (DC.) Arcang.
- subsp. winteri (Wirtg.) W. Ludw.
