Kuzu (クズ, 葛)

Subfamily: Faboideae
Lifeform: deciduous perennial vine
Distribution: East Asia, including southern Japan (exotic to Hokkaido from the native regions)
Habitat: grassland - thicket - forest edge (often predominant on skislopes)
