Yabutabako (ヤブタバコ, 藪煙草), carpesium fruit
Life form: perennial forb
Distribution: northeastern Asia, including the whole of Japan

invading to Europe

Habitat: satoyama - bush - secondary forest
Head: 6-8 mm in diameter with short or no stalk ↔ other Carpesium species: with stalk
Leaf: dense, short hair → shape similar with tabacco leaf
Rosette: large but disappearing when flowering
Chromosome number: 2n = 36, or 40
