Lifeform: annual-perennial forb < 30 cm high
Distribution: Native to Algeria in the North Africa (introduced to Japan for gardening)
Habitat: sunny, well-drained, sandy soil
Physiology: cold-tolerant (a few cultivars)
Utilization: gardening for ornamental
