Erigeron L. (ムカシヨモギ) Ezomukashiyomogi (エゾムカシヨモギ, 蝦夷昔蓬), bitter fleabane or blue fleabane Lifeform: biennial forb, develping rosettes, with 10-50 cm tall Distribution: widspread in the cool temperate regions in the Northern Hemisphere, including Japan (central Honshu - Hokkaido)

Habitat: grasslands Seed dispersal: wind Leaf/stem: rough hair var. acris (エゾムカシヨモギ), the type var. amplifolius Kitam. (ヒロハムカシヨモギ) var. kamtschaticus (DC.) Herder (ムカシヨモギ) var. linearifolius (Koidz.) Kitam. (ホソバムカシヨモギ) var. manshuricus Kom. (マンシュウムカシヨモギ)
