Lifeform: annual or biennial forb
Distribution: Native to southern America

exotic to Japan (reported from the whole of Japan)

Habitat: weeds, as in cropfields, lawns, roadsids, etc.
Shoot: less branching with dense, long and white hair
Synonyms:

Gnaphalium pensylvanicum Willd., basionym
Gnaphalium purpureum L. var. spathulatum Baker
