Akinire (アキニレ, 秋楡), lacebark elm, or Chinese Elm
Lifeform: straight-formed, deciduous tall tree ≈ 15 m tall
Distribution: China - Taiwan - Korea - Japan (south to Tokai District)

Habitat: humid or mesic forests
Stem: hair when young
Flower: in autumn (aki = autumn)
Seed dispersal: wind using wing
Use: street tree, garden tree, wood, fuel, etc.
