Antirrhinum L. (キンギョソウ)
Kingyosou (キンギョソウ, 金魚草), (common) snapdragon
Lifeform: herbaceous perennial forb (may become annual in cold regions)
Distribution: Native to the Mediterranean region (exotic to Japan)
Habitat: escaped from gardens (in the case of Japan) - weed (雑草)
Pollination: bumblebee
ssp. majus: Southern France, northeast Spain
ssp. cirrhigerum (Ficalho) Franco: Southern Portugal - southwest Spain
ssp. linkianum (Boiss. et Reut.) Rothm.: endemic in western Portugal
ssp. litigiosum (Pau) Rothm.: southeastern Spain
ssp. tortuosum (Bosc) Rouy.: throughout the Mediterranean
Also there are many cultivars (e.g., Bells Pink, Chimes Bronze, and Bells Yellow)
