Habitat: shaded and/or mosit sites
Chromosome number: 2n = 28, or 35
var. ryukyuensis Koba et Tateoka (オキナワミゾイチゴツナギ)
f. submoniliformis (Makino) T. Koyama (タマミゾイチゴツナギ), incrassate (thickended) at the base of culm (stem)
