Kidachiaroe (キダチアロエ, 木立蘆薈), krantz aloe or candelabra aloe
Lifeform: succulent perennial
Distribution: endemic to the south eastern part of southern Africa

Introduced to Japan in Kamakura or Muromachi Eara
Naturalized on coasts in Kyushu Island to Boso Peninsula

Habitat: mountainous areas including rocky outcrops and exposed ridges in the native regions
Use: gardening, medicine (burn injury, incisure, bug bite, etc.)
Cultivars: cv. variegata
