Lifeform: short-rhizomatous perennial forb
Distribution: China - Siberia - Korea - Japan (Kinki - Hokkaido) - Sakhalin - Kurile
Habitat: mesic (needle-leaved) forest → wetland (湿原)

Flowering stem: 5-6 flowers at 20-30 cm high (40-70 cm high when fruited)
Flower stalk: 1-1.5 cm long when flowering and up to 4 cm when fruited
