Adiantum L. (クジャクシダ)
Hakoneshida (ハコネシダ, 箱根羊歯), maidenhair fern
Lifeform: evergeen fern
Distribution: China - southern Korea - Japan (south to Honshu)
Habitat: on rocky cliffs, including stone walls
Rhizome: dense, brown-black hair
Chromosome number: n = 58 or 60
Use: ornamental foliage plant (culture - difficult), medicine (diuresis, emmenagogue, expectorant)
