Lifeform: summergreen fern
Distribution: East Asia, including Japan

the plant in Hokkaido was reported only from Mount Usu (Hara 1978), no reports after that probably because of the 1977-78 eruptions

Habitat: grasslands and forests, in particular, on cliffs adn stone hedges
Chromosome number: 2n= 30, 60, 90, or 120
