The leaf = linear or narrowly-oval ↔ C. caudatum leaf = heart-shaped
C. atratum Bunge (フナバラソウ) → Vincetoxicum atratum (Bunge) C. Morren et Decne.
C. paniculatum (Bunge) Kitag. (スズサイコ) → Vincetoxicum pycnostelma Kitag.

[1] This species was widespread in a grassland developed in Nakajima Island enclosed by Toya Lake, central Hokkaido, on July 21 2005, due to low deer palatablity (Tsuyuzaki & Takahashi 2007). [2/3] on Tomamu skislope on July 19 2012. [4-6] close to AMEDAS weather station in Horokanai Town, northern Hokkaido, on June 25 2018.
