Lifeform: deciduous, shrub or short tree, 2-6 m tall
Distribution: Siberia - China (Heilongjiang Xinjiang) - Mongolia - Kazakhstan

Habitat: river banks, pebbles, sands, open forests and forest edges, gully slopes and stony slopes
Use: ornamental plant (cvs. pendula, lorbergii and nana), erosion control, and edible (seed)
