Papaver L. (ケシ)
Hinageshi (ヒナゲシ, 雛芥子/雛罌粟), Shirley poppy, common poppy, corn poppy, field poppy, Flanders poppy or red poppy (coquelicot in French)
Lifeform: annuarl forb → agricultural weed
Distribution: widespread in the temperate regions of Europe (exotic to Japan)

Hokkaido Blue List: B, firstly reported from Iburi District in 1979

Habitat: fields, beside roadsides and grasslands
Seedbank: long-term persist
Use: gardening
