Fragaria vesca Coville (Ezohebi-ichigo, エゾヘビイチゴ, 蝦夷蛇苺), woodland strawbery (others are: wild strawberry, alpine strawberry, fraises des Bois, and European strawberry)
Lifeform: stoloniferous perennial forb
Distribution: widespread in the Northern Hemisphere (exotic to Japan)
Habitat: sunny, drained sites
