Etymology of Japanese name: medicine for asthma (喘息)

Lifeform: perennial forb, with 10-40 m tall
Distribution: Himalaya - China - Korea - Japan (Hokkaido - Honshu - Shikoku)
Habitat: (needle-leaved) forests and forest edges

Flower: white flowering between June and August
Leaf: petiole = 1-13 cm long
