Shinasawagurumi (シナサワグルミ, 支那胡桃), Chinese wingnut
Kanpoufuu (カンポウフウ)
Lifeform: rapid-growing, deciduous, tall tree ≈ 30 m tall
Distribution: south-central and south-east China (Japan: transplantation → escaped)
Habitat (in the native regions): forests on mountain slopes, riverbanks, etc.
Use: street tree, park tree, etc.
Leaf axis: developing wing
Seed germination: required cold stratification for ca. three months
