Lifeform: evergreen fern
Distribution: widespread mostly in tropical and subtropical regions and partly in temperate regions, including the south to the Chubu District of Japan

Habitat: on rockes and trees (epiphytes)
Morphology:

Stem: dichotomous branching
Leaf and root: absent (stems supported by the rhizomes)

Use: gardening (traditionally used after Edo Era in Japan)
