Hyuugamizuki (ヒュウガミズキ, 日向水木), buttercup winter hazel
Iyomizuki (イヨミズキ, 伊予水木), Kobanotosamizuki (コバノトサミズキ, 小葉土佐水木)
Lifeform: deciduous shrub with 2-3 m tall
Distribution: endemic to the Kinki District of Japan (between Ishikawa and Hyogo Prefecture)
Habitat: rocky sites
Flower: yellow, borne in late winter and early spring
Pistil: yellow (C. spicata = red)
Use: gardening and park tree
Synonyms:
