Marubanoki (マルバノキ, 丸葉ノ木), long-stiped disanthus
Benimansaku (ベニマンサク, 紅満作)
Lifeform: deciduous shrub < 4 m high
Distribution: endemic to Shikoku and Honshu (south to Chubu District), Japan

→ ssp. longipes (H. T. Chang) K. Y. Pan reported from China in 1991

Habitat: woodlands and forests
Flower: dark red in autumn
Utilization: ornamental tree for gardening (widely used in the world)
