Distylium Siebold et Zucc. (イスノキ)
Isunoki (イスノキ, 蚊母樹), Isu tree
Lifeform: evergreen tall tree ≈ 20 m in height
Distribution: southern China - Taiwan - Jeju Island - Japan (south to Kanto District)
Habitat: woodlands and forests
Utilization: wood for furniture, sometimes transplanted in shrines
f. angustifolium (Masam.) H. Ohba, or var. angustifolium Masam. (ホソバイスノキ)
f. pendulum (Makino) Okuyama (シダレイスノキ)
