Note: B. × kazinoki Siebold = コウゾ ≠ カジノキ

Lifeform: deciduous tree ≈ 10 m in height
Distribution: China - Korea - Japan (south to Chubu District), the origin unknown

naturalized in Japan, reported in Kofun Period (tumulus period, 古墳時代)

Habitat: sunny sites, such as roadsides
Use: Japanese paper
