Lifeform: perennial forb (runner)
Distribution: widespread in temperate regions, including the whole of Japan
Habitat: roadsides, grasslands, and crop fields
Leaflet: 12-14 pairs ↔ V. tetrasperma (L.) Schreb. = 4-6 pairs
Chromosome number: 2n = 12
