Bidens L. (センダングサ)
Yanagitaukogi (ヤナギタウコギ, 柳田五加木), nodding beggar-ticks or nodding bur-marigold
Lifeform: annual forb with 50-100 cm in height
Distribution: widespread in the cool temperate regions of Northern Hemisphere, including Japan (north to Aomori Prefecture)

RDB: CR in Japan and EN in Hokkaido

Habitat: wetlands, including paddy fields
Seed dispersal: animal (external) by hooked barbs
Chromosome number: 2n = 24 or 48
Synonyms:

Bidens cernua L. var. limosa Nakai
