Adiantum L. (クジャクシダ)
Kujakushida (クジャクシダ, 孔雀羊歯), northern maidenhair fern or five-fingered fern
Lifeform: summergreen, perennial fern with 30-70 cm in height
Distribution: Himalayan Range - eastern Asia - North America

genetically diverge among the regions

Habitat: on humus-rich, moist, and well-drained soils and on rock faces and ledges when adequate moisture is present
Leaflet: fan-shaped and hard
Chromosome number: n = 29 or 30
Use: ornamental, e.g., Japanese garden

- var. kamtschaticum Rupr.
