Lifeform: aquatic perennial forb, developing long and thick rhizomes
Distribution: Korea - Japan - Kuril
Habitat: nutrient-poor wetland (湿原), in particular, in ponds
Leaf: submerged and floated (submerged leaf lacks stipe or develops unclear stipe)
Synonyms:

Potamogeton subsessilifolius E. G. Camus
Potamogeton torquatus Koidz.
