Hypochaeris L. (エゾコウゾリナ)
Butana (ブタナ, 豚菜) / Tanpopomodoki (タンポポモドキ, 蒲公英擬), hairy catsear, flatweed or false dandelion

Fr: Salade de porc → salad for pig
Firstly reported as Tanpopomodoki from Makomanai in Sapporo (舘脇 1933)

Lifeform: perennial forb
Distribution: native to Europe (exotic to Japan)

Hokkaido Blue List: A2

Habitat: baregrounds, and grasslands, including lawns
Use: edible when young

Hypochoeris, a misspelling of Hypochaeris (Asteraceae) (Tsuyuzaki S & Kitayama T. 1996)
