Tenninsou (テンニンソウ, 天人草), Japanese shrub mint
Lifeform: perennial forb, developing woody rhizomes with 50-100 cm in height
Distribution: endemic to Japan (not probably in Hokkaido)
Habitat: mostly in deciduous forests
Chromosome number: 2n = 32
Use: ornamental
Synonyms:

Leucosceptrum japonicum (Miq.) Kitam. et Murata, when merged

f. barbinervia (Miq.) Koidz. (フジテンニンソウ), chromosome number, 2n = 46
f. albiflorum (Honda) Kitam. et Murata (シロバナテンニンソウ), not used
