Thymus L. (イブキジャコウソウ)
Tachijakousou (タチジャコウソウ, 立麝香草), (common) thyme, German thyme or garden thyme
Lifeform: evergreen shrub, with 15-30 cm in height
Distribution: southern Europe from the western Mediterranean to southern Italy
Habitat: anthropogenic (man-made or disturbed habitats), meadows and fields
Chromosome number: 2n = 30
Usage: groundcover, ingredient, herbal medicine
