Miyamabenishida (ミヤマベニシダ, 深山紅羊歯), wood fern, male fern or bucker fern
Lifeform: summergreen perennial fern ≈ 1 m tall, developing thick and stoloniferous rhizomes

D. erythrosora: evergreen, shorter (not distributed in Hokkaido)

Distribution: northeastern China - Far East - Korea - Japan (north to Chugoku District, and partly in Shikoku and Kyushu)
Habitat: mesic forests
Leaf: ≈ 120 cm long
Chromosome number: n = 41
Synonyms:

Dryopteris goldiana (Hook. ex Goldie) A. Gray ssp. monticola (Makino) Fraser-Jenk.
Aspidium monticola (Makino) Christ Nephrodium monticola Makino (basionym)
