Moliniopsis Hayata (ヌマガヤ)
One species in Japan when Moliniopsis is accepted
Numagaya (ヌマガヤ, 沼茅), Japanese moor grass
Life form: rhizomatous, caespitose perennial grass, with 0.3-1 m in height
Distribution: northern northeastern Asia (including Japan)
Habitat: wetlands (湿原), in particular, in bog
Succession: established in Rhynchospora alba grasslands in the early stages
Chromosome number: 2n = 50
Synonyms:

Molinia japonica Hack., often used
Moliniopsis hui (Pilg.) Keng
Moliniopsis nipponica (Honda) Honda
