Life form: perennial forb ≈ 50 m tall
Distribution: endemic to Japan (on Mount Apoi and Mounts Hidaka in south-central Hokkaido)

Red data book: high risk of endangerment in the wild, VU
→ Field training: nature in sea, lake, volcanoa and forest (海と湖と火山と森林の自然)

Habitat: grasslands, rocky surfaces, etc.
