Jacaranda Juss. (キリモドキ)
Kirimodoki (キリモドキ, 桐擬), jacaranda, blue jacaranda, black poui or fern tree
Life form: tall tree
Distribution: native to the subtropical regions in south-central South America
Habitat: savanna and other grasslands, riparian woodland and other riverside habitats, also in forests and in sheltered situations such as in wooded ravines
Use: transplanted to various regions, including Western Australia (for ornamental) and southern part of Japan
Synonyms:

Jacaranda acutifolia auct. non Humb. et Bonpl.

Cultivars: summer samba, white, etc.
