Jacaranda Juss. (キリモドキ) Kirimodoki (キリモドキ, 桐擬), Brazililan rosewood, blue jacaranda, black poui or fern tree (シウンボク, 紫雲木) Life form: tall tree, with 15 m in height Distribution: native to the subtropical regions in south-central South America Habitat: savanna and other grasslands, riparian woodland and other riverside habitats, also in forests and in sheltered situations such as in wooded ravines Leaf: 10-20 pairs of pinnae and 14-24 pairs of leaflets

Use: transplanted to various regions, including Western Australia (for ornamental) and southern part of Japan Synonyms: Jacaranda acutifolia auct. non Humb. et Bonpl. Cultivars: summer samba, white, etc. The three great tropical flowering trees (熱帯三大花木) Delonix regia (Bojer ex Hook.) Raf. (鳳凰木, royal Poinciana) Cassia fistula L. (火炎木, golden shower tree) Jacaranda mimosifolia D. Don (紫雲木, Brazilian rosewood)
