Distribution: Russia - western China - Tibet

introduced to Japan by Edo Era

Habitat: sunny grasslands, slopes, waste lands, etc.
Seed: developing wing for wind dispersal
Synonyms:

Fallopia baldshuanica (Regel) Holub, used when the genus establishes
Fallopia aubertii (L. Henry) Holub
