Vinca L. (ツルニチニチソウ)
Nichinichisou (ニチニチソウ, 日々草), Madagascar periwinkle, or rosy periwinkle
Lifeform: evergreen sub-shrub, treated as annual forb for gardening
Distribution: native to areas between Madagascar to India

→ reducing natural populations due to slush-and-burn agriculture

Habitat: escaped from gardening
Use: gardening
Synonyms:

Catharanthus roseus (L.) G. Don
Lochnera rosea (L.) Rchb.

Cultivars: many (flower = white, pink and red)
