Distribution: Taiwan - Jeju Island - Japan (south to Kanto and Hokuriku District)
Habitat: lowland forests, in particular, in secondary forests
Leaf: sub-adverse → C. camphora: alternate
Seed dispersal: animal (bird)
Use: wind control
