Hibiscus L. (フヨウ)
Hamabou (ハマボウ, 浜朴/黄槿), Yellow rosemallow
Lifeform: well-branching, deciduous shrub, with 1-3 m in height
Distribution: Korea (Jeju Island) - Japan (western side and Amami Oshima Island)
Habitat: sand in brackish water areas such as river mouths and bays
Flower: yellow, ca 7-10 cm in diameter
Use: used as rope, footcloth, fabric, etc.
Synonyms:

Talipariti hamabo (Siebold et Zucc.) Fryxell

f. albiflorus H. Nakan. (シロバナハマボウ)
