Polemonium L. (ハナシノブ)
Himehanashinobu (ヒメハナシノブ, 姫花忍), spreading Jacob's ladder, creeping Jacob's ladder, false Jacob's ladder, abscess root, American Greek valerian, blue bells, stairway to heaven or sweatroot
Lifeform: perennial forb with 20-50 cm tall, treated as biennial for gardening
Distribution: eastern North America
Habitat: rich, moist woods, often along streambanks
Use: gardening (cv. Heaven Scent, etc.)
