Umishoubu (ウミショウブ, 海菖蒲), broadblade seagrass (called in Philippines)
Lifeform: dioecious, littoral (marine), perennial forb (seagrass), developing rhizomes
Distribution: the tropical Indian - Western Pacific Oceans (including Ryukyu)
Habitat: on shallow, soft substrates, e.g., muddy-and sand-flats and coral substrates
Pollination: totally specific
