Pinellia Tenore (ハンゲ)
O-hange (オオハンゲ, 大半夏), green dragon
Lifeform: deciduous forb, with tubers and without bulbils (20-50 cm in height)

P. ternata developing bulbils

Distribution: Japan (between south to central Honshu and north to Okinawa Island)
Habitat: mesic sites in forests, often establishing in limestone areas
Use: medicine, tubers used as antiemetic, antitussive drug and expectorant, in particular, when morning sickness
